~February Progress Update~ +Reminder to Donors


It's March tomorrow, then before we know it, it'll be April, won't it?

February passed, and in the spirit of Valentine's, I did make a few lil' things to celebrate~

I've had a good chunk of progress during the early part of January, but I got sick at the latter part of February which hampered progress... but that doesn't mean there was none~

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO DONORS

BUT before anything else, to those who threw in some money for this project- THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Know that your donation is funding the voice acting for this game... and some other things (you'll see~)😉

THAT SAID! There are some who hasn't sent in their contact forms.

-Your forms can be accessed through the game downloads, depending on tiers.



There's still a lot of time so there's no rush in sending in your response, but please, do know and don't forget to fill in those forms! Especially those who are eligible for getting their names on the credits. 

Progress Report

While I may not have completed the common route still... I have managed to complete chapters 2, 3 and 4. And yes, that's not only includes writing, but also coding, and CGs! For reference, the demo is composed of Prologue, Ch1 and almost all of Ch2.

Currently, I'm working on Chapter 5, though I occasionally return to previous chapters for revisions. By my estimate, the common route should end at around chapter 7 or 8 (originally, it was supposed to end at ch 6😅).

-Though, I still have yet to reach the part that I think will be substantial enough for early access players to play, but it's real close to getting there! Which means, early access may get a major update by around April if all goes well.

For now, here's a sneak peek of some NPC animations that I've implemented in-game~


Dev Corner

Last devlog, I talked about in-game choices... so this time, I'll talk about our MC's inner thoughts~

I'm glad that the reception for this has been overall positive! I've contemplated on how to implement this, but I figured that I'd just try to emulate it similarly to manhwas and the like- which are the clear inspiration for this whole game.

As a character, Teresa does have her own past, preferences, and personality- and having been thrown into a world and society that's very different from her previous one had made her guarded against others, except the very few whom she had decided to trust; it doesn't help that she's now up against characters whose thoughts are also hidden behind figurative false masks... which was why I needed a way to express her inner thoughts somehow, or else she'd be stuck with a dull expression half the time!

-But as this is an otome, we all know that she will have to peel the masks of her love interests whether intentional or not... and that means, they would have to do the same for her.

Next time, I'll probably talk about the otome terminology in-game~

Next update post should be around April?
